The Oxford United Player Development Centre is an invitation only environment that is open to players from 6 -14. 

The aim of the Oxford Utd Player Development Centre is to recruit talented players within the area who are not currently at any Centres of Excellence through our extensive scouting network and our Youth & Community soccer schools program.

 The objective of the program is to improve the technical ability of promising young local players through regular coaching and matches against other development centres (matches to be played midweek)

This will enable them to play and train at a higher level with other players of above average ability and play and train with their local grassroots team at the same time.

Our Coaches are all qualified to a minimum of FA Level 2 with most being Level 3 or above. The coach to player ratio is around 10 to 1.

Enthusiasm, commitment, and dedication are essential qualities for the Player Development Centre player who wishes to progress to the next level and players will be expected to demonstrate these on a continuous basis. Players that progress on this program will be recommended for trials with either our Elite Development Centre or our Centre of Excellence.

The Spring Program

 

The program will be running from Jan 2012 for 11 weeks.

We will start with five evenings of coaching on the 9^th Jan – 6^th Feb,

Followed by six more evenings starting on the 20^th Feb – 26^th March.

U7s – U10s 5pm – 6pm

U11s – U12s 6pm – 7pm

 

We have also arranged matches (details below) for all age groups against

Northampton Town PDC away at Sixfields Athletic Stadium NN5 5QA.

 

U7s (6v6) Wednesday 7^th March 5pm – 6pm

U8s (7v7) Wednesday 14^th March 5pm – 6pm

U10s (8v8) Wednesday 21^st March 6.15pm – 7.15pm

U11s (9v9) Wednesday 28^th March 6.15pm – 7.15pm

U12s (9v9) Wednesday 28^th March 7.30pm – 8.30pm
